Meg has been with us for quite a few years
now and she has Fin on loan from us. Meg
has been out and about with Fin and they
compete locally at unaffiliated dressage.
Jess and Bertie have been with us for four years now
and we have enjoyed every minute. Jess combines
being a full time medical student with competing Bertie
both in British Dressage and British Eventing.
Jess is having to watch her back though as Mum,
Georgina has taken up riding in late 2013 and is
going great guns with Bertie. Watch this space
for the first outing!
Carly our head girl has
taken on Blake, Spinners
Gold and they have just
been out to their first
competition where they
came second which was
fantastic as Carly had
never done a test before!
Rachel and Meg have joined us and become a
great addition to the yard. Meg rides Dunkie and
competes both RDA and able bodied dressage
while Mum, Rachel has taken on the ride on
Tommi of Abi’s and is hoping to get out
competing this year, but up to now it has just
been fun to be able to ride with Meg.
Meg also takes part in Special Olympic events
and has won a couple of Gold Medals.
Laura and Sky have settled in really well and
as Laura learns her way round Dressage, Carly
has been showing Sky the ropes and they have
been a successful part of Team Burrell in 2016
at Team Quest. Laura has never done any
schooling before so it’s being a steep learning
curve, but from the coach’s point of view, you
can’t ask for anyone who tries harder.
Hannah has joined us working on the
yard and she has got Lily on loan. They
are starting to build a great relationship
and did their first competition
together last week, coming 2nd. Hannah
has very little competition
experience so there has been a lot to
learn for her.
Hannah has also just finished her Equine
Massage therapy for Health and Performance
Qualification and has been an integral part
in keeping the horses fit and happy on the
